“Hey Honey!, you looked so hot in that video!”
Thousands of women and men across the world have fallen victim to a new form of cyber bullying called revenge porn. Revenge porn is the act of publishing online intimate photos, videos and contact information of a former partner without their consent.
This isn’t a discouragement against intimacy; instead, it’s a siren against intimacy with the wrong person. Someone who may capture your intimate moments WITHOUT your knowledge, let alone upload them. Then again, if it has your consent, make sure you’re aware of the repercussions. Blackmail, emotional torture, defamation, you get the drill. You never know what someone might do out of hatred or what their intentions might be. So, make sure you get to know the person well. DON’T feel outdated if you’re taking time to trust them. It’s completely alright. Even if you completely trust your partner, remember that while everything in your relationship is hunky dory right now, it could go wrong in the future. How would your partner behave then?
Something that many people might not know, Private Videos/Photos can even be leaked AFTER they’re deleted. Such clips can be recovered by simply using a data recovery software. Many of the sex clips have been leaked from mobile repair centres, where people give their mobile hand-sets after deleting such clips. But the mobile centre employees often recover these private videos/photos and sell them to porn sites. So it’s not always just an ex-lover. Plus, there’s also the infamous hacking scandals.
All in all, The Logical Indian says, make love, have sex, but don’t let your partner capture nude pictures or videos. If you want to save the moment, save it in your heart’s memory, not your phone’s.
An advice not just for girls but, for boys too.
An advice not just for girls but, for boys too.
After all, revenge isn’t gender biased.
